Besides LeBron James, who will be the biggest key to getting the Cavs back into the NBA Finals? Click to read takes from Fletch and Mark.
The Gospel according to Fletch:
Obviously. Lebron James is the heart and soul of the Cavs franchise. What he does has a huge impact on how the Cavs do this year. But one superstar does not make a team. In order for the Cavs to get back to the NBA finals, they have to find a way to play like the Celtics did last year, not relying on one guy. One need look no further than the 2008 Olympic games, where a group of superstars were unselfish to accomplish a goal. Meaning, we need to see a lot of Mo Williams shooting the ball along with Boobie Gibson and Delonte West. Finally, James has the guard he and the team have been seeking, and if the ball is distributed enough, look for good things. But in order for this to occur, we need to find out exactly what kind of coach Mike Brown is. True, he's won a lot of games in his short tenure, but even one of the better high school coaches could do the same with James in the lineup. Can he design plays effective for the entire team to be productive? Williams will be a huge key for the Cavs. With both he, and James healthy, this team should score a lot of points. But Defense is something the Cavs need to hone up on this year. Having Ben Wallace and Z helps, still it all comes down to coaching. While I believe Williams will be the main key and cog into the Cavs playing in June, it will take some solid coaching from Brown. Is he ready to take the lead as a head coach, or is he just another good assistant? Time will tell.

Mark's Take:
As we look at the Cleveland Cavaliers roster, it’s hard to say who will be the most efficient and effective player on the court that could potentially help put the Cavaliers back into the NBA finals. At first glance, I would say Mo Williams, but there are plenty of other players that will contribute to the team’s success.
The first person I expect to have another great season is Zydrunas Ilgauskas. I think Big “Z” is one of the top centers in the league, but most would say that I’m crazy. “Z” is extremely underrated. I don’t know how many years in a row we should have seen him on the NBA All-Star team and get’s looked over because of bigger name players. Zydrunas is pretty consistent when it comes to his play. He almost averages a double-double every game. Throughout his career he has averaged 14.5 points per game and 7.9 rebounds per game. He’s getting older and it’s hard to say how much longer he’ll be able to handle those expectations, but again I expect him to play that well for this season.
And then there is Wally Szczerbiak. I think Wally is going to have a much bigger role on the team this year. He may start or may come off the bench. Either way, I expect him to have a significant role in the offense. He’ll have plenty of opportunities to hit open shots as defensive attention will be given to LeBron.
Those two will have a significant impact on the team, but that is mainly because of Mo Williams. Cleveland has not had a solid point guard on the team since draft LeBron James. Mo Williams is not only a solid point guard, but probably top 5 in the league right now. Williams killed the Cavaliers last year, so it will be much better to have him play with us instead of against us. Mo Williams has averaged 17 points and 6 assists in each of his last two seasons with the Milwaukee Bucks. Against the Cavaliers in three games last year, he scored 20, 29 and 37 to help the Bucks win in each of those games. I think Mo Williams will continue that type of play this year. He was not the number 1 option for the Bucks last year and still put up good numbers. He’ll continue to be the number 2 option for this year along side LeBron James.
With the addition of Mo Williams, Cleveland may be the best team on paper. I realize Williams is just one player, but the impact he’ll have on the court will help put the Cavaliers into a winning situation. Not only does Williams help us get back into the NBA Finals, but I think he gives the Cavs the opportunity to be crowned Champions for not only this year, but for the next couple of years.
The best part about that scenario is that if the Cavs win, I believe that will be plenty of motivation for LeBron James to re-sign with the team without hesitation. With Mo Williams on this team, we could be seeing a dynasty in the making.
